  • Doug Keller has a master’s degree in philosophy from Fordham University. He was one of the first teachers certified in Anusara and taught in that style for over 7 years. His yoga journey includes 14 years of practicing in Siddha Yoga ashrams and intensive training in the Iyengar method, and nearly a decade of teaching in the U.S. and abroad.

    He continues to deepen his study and understanding of the therapeutic aspects of yoga as well as explore the yoga tradition as a whole.

  • Carlos has been steeped in all aspects of the yoga tradition during more than 40 years of practice and study. He spent 18 of those years as a monk of the Saraswati order, under the name Swami Gītānanda, including 9 years of traditional training and practice in India. During this time he learned the various systems of Indian Philosophy and immersed himself in the practice of yoga, becoming one of the senior monks of the tradition and teaching meditation and philosophy to tens of thousands of students around the world. He combines this experience and traditional training with his academic background, which includes two Masters Degrees: one in Sanskrit, from U.C. Berkeley (where he has taught) and another one, in Religious Studies, from U.C. Santa Barbara. Carlos is renowned for the breadth of his knowledge and the clarity with which he conveys it.

  • Noah Mazé has devoted his life to the subject of yoga. Best known for his clear, precise, and methodical teaching style, his tangible knowledge, and his ability to transmit with openness, curiosity, and wit are palpable. Noah has collected, gathered, experienced, and embodied this vast subject—seeking out the best teachers, learning from different lineages and absorbing much of what is on offer. Noah’s fierce and compassionate dedication to yoga inspires and holds space for students to journey deeper into body, heart, mind, and spirit than they ever could have imagined. Ever-advancing the conversation and curriculum in yoga education, Noah cofounded The Mazé Method with his wife Tracy. Together, they have pioneered training content to enhance and sharpen the skills of yoga teachers. Noah believes that always remaining a student is essential to teaching. He has thus devoted himself to creating pathways for teachers to continue their learning and cultivation of skill and voice.

  • Desiree Rumbaugh is an internationally recognized yoga teacher.  With long time studies in  Iyengar and Anusara Yoga as her foundation, she is an E-RYT 500 and YACEP with Yoga Alliance. She travels the globe offering workshops and retreats, sharing knowledge she has accumulated over the past four decades of working with students of all ages and levels of experience. She is the co-author of “Fearless After Fifty: How to Thrive With Grace, Grit and Yoga” and the creator of the DVD series “Yoga to the Rescue.” In addition to her own video library, she also has online classes available through Tintyoga, Yoga Download, Yoga International, and Gaia. As of March 2021, she is a Pledge Drive Host for PBS, the Public Broadcasting Service in the USA.

    Desiree holds fast to the teaching that Love is Stronger Than Fear. Having navigated personal tragedy, she has relied on the study and practice of Yoga to help her move forward in life with inner strength and courage. Known also for her warmth, authenticity and playful sense of humor, Desiree is a master at delivering the complexity of yoga in a down-to-earth, easily understandable way.

    She currently resides in San Miguel de Allende Mexico with her husband, Andrew Rivin.

  • Jeanie Manchester is the founder of Anjaneya Yoga Shala in Boulder, CO. She is an (E-RYT500 Instructor and Anusara certified).

    She is the creator of the Shakti Rise Immersion dedicated to “women on the rise” and planetary upliftment.  She draws on 30 years of dedicated practice and teaching. Jeanie created Sacred Flow, her signature vinyasa classes rooted in meditation, bhakti chant, storytelling, mantra, mudra, meditation and the art of living a daily practice on and off the mat. Her students love her heart based, friendly style of intuitive mentoring and teaching. She is a dedicated senior student of Neelakantha meditation and the Sri Vidya Goddess tradition of South India. She offers 200/300 HR Teacher Sacred Flow Trainings, and travels the globe offering retreats in wondrous places. 

  • As a Certified Anusara® Yoga Teacher, E-RYT-500, Tiffany is practicing and teaching her greatest passion. With 16 years of teaching experience and over a decade as a nationally certified body worker and life coach, Tiffany inspires her students to align with their own intrinsic goodness. Radical self-acceptance and self-empowerment are the fruits her students harvest by learning to live in harmony within their bodies and the world around them. Her trainings go well beyond the physical aspects of teaching yoga producing graduates that are ready to teach from their hearts with confidence and depth. Tiffany is currently the USA representative of the Anusara® School of Hatha Yoga policies and procedures committee and a certification assessor.

  • Julia Pearring, E-CAT, IAYT, supports students in exploring their optimal range to uncover their potential for a deeper alignment.

    An Anusara Yoga teacher since 2008, Julia skillfully reveals the heart of yoga using the UPAs. She teaches that an active sadhana—basing one’s personal practice on compassionate self-inquiry—is invaluable. Julia teaches classes and maintains a private therapeutic practice in NYC. She is the managing director of the World Yoga Center and regularly leads retreats and teacher trainings. Julia also cowrote the Therapeutic Applications of Anusara Teacher's Guide, published in 2020.

  • Jayendra Hanley is a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher who began the practices of yoga and meditation in 1977, and began teaching yoga fulltime in 1997.

    He’s also an authorized teacher of Neelakantha Meditation as taught in Blue Throat Yoga. Jayendra is from the U.S., but he’s lived in Amersfoort for many years where he is teaching at Bindi Yoga Studio. Jayendra has taught many 200-Hour Teacher Trainings in the Netherlands and elsewhere, and recently helped to create the 300-Hour Advanced Teacher Training for Anusara Yoga. He is also a skilled mentor for teachers who are on the Anusara teaching path. Students love the clarity and precision of Jayendra’s teaching, especially when it comes to how to do and teach the poses, explanations of the philosophy of the yoga tradition, and the practice of meditation.

  • MC Yogi is an internationally known recording artist, award winning author and seasoned yoga teacher.   • Robin (MataJi) has been a dedicated practitioner of the meditational Science of the Soul, Surat Shabd Yoga, for over 40 years. In 2008 she was drawn to a hatha yoga practice and discovered Anusara Yoga®, beginning her passionate and devoted study of Anusara’s methodology and acquiring a deep understanding of its exquisite Universal Principles of Alignment along with its rich and deeply spiritual Tantric tradition. She received ‘Anusara Inspired Teacher’ status in 2011 and became a fully ‘Certified Anusara Teacher’ with the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga in 2014 (Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500® / YACEP®), a ‘Subject Matter Specialist’ (SMS) for the school in Philosophy in 2017 and a ‘Certified Advanced Teacher Trainer’ (CATT) in 2018.   • Suzanne is a European-American yogini and international yoga instructor and teacher trainer, studied classical asana and philosophy as well as cutting-edge anatomy and therapeutics with some of the world’s most skilled teachers, including Noah Mazé, Sianna Sherman and Douglas Brooks, and meditation teachers such as Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.

    With Noah Mazé, she earned her 300-hour advanced teaching certificate during a year-long course of study in Berlin, focusing on Iyengar-based alignment Hatha and Vinyasa yoga with an emphasis in physiotherapy taught by Dr. Paula Gelbart. Before that, she completed her 200-hour Anusara-yoga teacher training with Siri Peterson, and has further studied with Sianna Sherman, Adam Ballenger and other Anusara Master teachers. Suzanne obtained the rigorous Anusara certification in 2018 under the new teacher-led school, Anusara School of Hatha Yoga.

    He is a professor of psychology at UC Berkeley and the director of the Greater Good Science Center. He has over 200 scientific publications and six books, including Born to Be Good, The Compassionate Instinct, and The Power Paradox. He has written for many popular outlets, from The New York Times to Slate. He was also the scientific advisor behind Pixar’s Inside Out, is involved with the education of health care providers and judges, and has consulted extensively for Google, Apple, and Pinterest, on issues related to emotion and well-being.

  • Jacalyn Prete, certified Anusara® yoga teacher trainer, E-RYT 500, shares a deep passion for the wisdom teachings of yoga and therapeutics with her students in New York City, Japan, China, Italy, Germany, and Belgium. Jacalyn brings over 30 years of teaching experience to her position as cofounder and former licensing director of the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga.  A certified health coach, she also shares the teachings of Ayurveda with students all over the world in her signature teleconference course, The Vibrant Living Tribe.

    Jacalyn became a certified White Lotus Yoga vinyasa yoga teacher in 1995, a licensed massage therapist in 1996, a certified Anusara Yoga teacher in 2001, and a certified health coach in 2015. She is grateful to have studied with many great teachers including Gurumayi Chidvalasananda, Cate Stillman, John Friend, Bill Mahoney, Rudrani Farbman, Tom Meyers, Ellen Saltonstall, Douglas Keller, and Paul Muller-Ortega.
